PERSONAL INFORMATION
Age: 27
Height: 6'1
Weight: l96 lbs
Personality: Always had a "Can do" attitude about everything. Highly intelligent (scored a 97 on the ASVAB), and knows how to reason. Has a reputation for being "always right" about something, but for some reason no one listens to him until the last minute. Very calm and understanding. Willing to help anyone out if he can.He doesn't like people will to die for their country, but loves BAMoFo that are willing to "KILL KILL KILL" the enemy. Always eager to learn knew things. He has been told multiple times that he needs to forget half of what he knows cause it's pointless. Although he is the joke about being inexperienced with women, he views it at a positive side to his life. He enjoys not being tied down, although he does get lonely. But his busy life keeps him from thinking about it too much.
History:
Born to Lisa and Matthew Cantrell on Oct 25, 1982. Matthew Cantrell was a Marine who met Lisa while on leave. The first few years of marriage were great, but Matthew spent more and more time away from home.

By the time Marcus was 4 years old, Matthew finally left his wife and son for another woman. Since then Marcus and his mother struggled to survive, but his mother did everything she could to provide him the best education that she could get him. By the time Marcus was 14, Lisa Cantrell took her own life because of the extreme stress she was under. He lived since then with a close family friend who was a Captain in the Navy.

Marcus attended J-ROTC while in high-school, did several Military based trainings during summer and winter breaks. It was his goal to attend the Naval Academy and go in as an officer in the Navy. Everything went according to plan. After he graduated high-school, he enrolled for Naval Academy and within weeks he received a letter saying that he had been accepted. He had a full scholarship into the Academy, and was also saving up every sent of his Midshipman pay. He continued to make straight A's throughout all 4 years at the Academy. A few days before graduating, he received a telegram saying that his father was now dead.

At first he was relieved, but soon enough he began to wonder about his father and the Marine Corps. He stuck with his plan to graduate, and he contacted his Naval Councilor about what he could do to go into the Marine Corps. The NC told Marcus that he would do what he could to get him in, but strongly suggested that Marcus go in as enlisted.

After graduation, he was sent off to Paris Island and attended boot camp. He was selected as a squad leader in one of the companies, and graduated boot camp as an E-2. As soon as he was in an infantry battalion, he volunteered for Scout Sniper indoctrination and was taken up as soon as they had an available slot. This was 5 years ago. Since then he has seen action around the world and visited many places during leisure time.

In April 2004, he was involved with Operation Vigilant Resolve. During the entire 24 days of the operation, he gladly has the right to say he was "deep in the sh*t" without being wounded, although an enemy bullet did come close to scoring a headshot on him.

After seeing some action in the Middle East, he spent some time back in the states working as a Marine Recruiter. He did an outstanding job, and received "Top Recruiter of the Month" a few times. While a recruiter, he used his time off to work on his requirements to be promoted. He was busted down from the rank of Sergeant when one of his recruits died during bootcamp. This was because the recruit lied to him about a medical condition, and had an asthma attack during PT. The Recruiting Command CO was already looking to chew someone up when that happened, an this incident just happened to come up at the right time. Sergeant Cantrell was quickly rewarded with not just 1, but 2 demotions in rank and forfeiture of special pay for some period of time.

In 2006, after 2 years of recruiting, he was deployed again to the Middle East and saw action during the last part of the so called "Third Battle of Fallujah" until they turned over the city to Iraqi Forces in the Fall of 2007.

After this, he has been traveling around in the finer parts of Europe and having short term, uninvolved relationships with women here and there. He's constantly laughed at for his "inexperience" with women, but he handles it lightly.

SAMPLE ROLE-PLAY
This was it. Last part of his deployment, then he was going back home. Classic roof entry: Glass ceiling, armed personnel below, VIP in an office with armed guards at the door. Marcus stood on top of a square piece of glass, and if everything worked well he would safely pass through the opening without the threat of glass from the surrounding area slicing him open. If not, well that was just too bad for him.

He held is Beowulf .50 in his hands and aimed it down. One thing he loved about this weapon was the fact that it was compact, yet it could stop anyone with one shot. Perfect for CQC just like this. The SEAL squeezed off a round, shattering the glass below him and dropping through. As he fell, he let out a burst of 2 rounds at everyone he would hit. Although 1 shot would be sufficient, it didn't hurt him to put in an extra round. Almost as quickly as the brief firefight had begun, it had ended. It was time for him to move on, eliminate the VIP and get out.

He moved up towards the door and tried to listen in to pick up some info. They seemed to be armed with fairly "old" style weapons: all pretty with the wood and steel, like an AK-47. It didn't matter. He reloaded his weapon and set a breeching charge on the door. For extra safety, he primed a flash-bang in the hand that wasn't holding the detonator for the charge. He counted down in his head, and settled his breathing.

*click* A rather small explosion went off as it turned the door into a giant wooden grenade, sending splinters off into the room. A flash-bang soon followed the explosion, intensifying enemy gunfire. When the shooting had stopped, Marcus calmly walking into the room and in a way "executed" the hostiles. 30 rounds at 600 rounds a minute goes by fast, and they all seemed surprised when they had their guns aimed at him, but nothing happened. As the last guard fell, he looked around for the VIP, but found nothing.

"VIP is AWOL" he joked over his COM. "Aye, standby for extraction." Came the reply. As he turned around to leave, his eyes went wide with terror. He stared right down the barrel of a Desert Eagle, and behind was the smirk of the man he was sent to kill. Marcus had always been fast, but for once in his lifetime he had been too slow. Everything turned black as a pounding pain rammed through his head...

"It was only a dream." Cantrell muttered to himself as he woke up from his rack with a pounding headache, and sweat pouring out of him. He quickly got out of his rack, put on something warm, and went to the chow hall to get something to drink.
